I'm done with fuddy duddy, shapeless rain jackets you hardly ever wear because they're unremarkable to basically ugly. The snaps plus zippered front closure are handy and zippered pockets great for security of items and keeping wetness out. My pet peeve is bad zippers, but so far, so good. The main plus for me is its tailored, fitted, feminine lines; it's actually good looking plus functional with a hoodie hood that's there if you need it. Price point is fair for what you get. I feel more "put together" in this coat than a lot of my other (older, out of date) choices.

Love this raincoat. I bought it in L and I had to exchange it for an M. I wear a size 10. There is still enough room for a light sweater underneath. I imagine it is waterproof. Waiting for California rain :) now that I am ready.

I bought the Nouveau Trench in Duffel Green. Duffel Green is neutral enough, if not a great coordinate for my colorful summer capsule wardrobe. The color itself is a pleasant, deep army green. (Far less likely to show dirt than a tan trench would, and not depressing black.)

I've had a functional Gore-Tex jacket for years... but leave it behind in my hotel room (or home!) due to its weight. Headed to the British Isles in high summer, I needed a rain coat, but had forecasts in the 90's to contend with. Also, I was traveling light (1 bag held everything), under my own power, and have a condition that includes joint pain and fatigue.

The Nouveau Trench was a great option. It was just perfect for mists and downpours in Scotland when temps were 60-70. The fabric is thin (lightweight to carry) and flexible (not annoying to keep on when rain ends.) I never left it behind due to its bulk or heft. That was my primary aim, and it was perfect for that.

My figure is hard to fit. My waist is a 10 (in QOR's Up & Away line) but my hips measure for a 14. I'm more hourglass than pear, but the hips are the trickier area to fit. I started out with an XL in the Nouveau Trench, but it was overall too big. Size L does accommodate my hips, and the ~8" rear vent helps me walk easily since that area is the most narrowly fitted.

There is a good, functional interior waist cinch that helps give the jacket a feminine silhouette. The toggles are inside the hand pockets, small and slightly hard to pinch. They stay put once you've adjusted the waist.

I also have a short torso, so I have more fabric than I need above the waist cinch. I would look better in a petite, but that isn't a deal breaker. The hood on the jacket is also too large for me. I'm trying to figure out a way to use a tiny clip or something to pinch it at the back to keep my eyes uncovered. No front-to-back hood adjustment is this coat's biggest flaw.

I wished for another (larger!) interior pocket like my sporty Gore-tex has.

I had been looking a long time for a rain jacket that 1. kept the rain out 2. was breathable 3. light weight and easy to maneuver in 4. easy to fit into a suitcase for traveling 5. fit the contours of my body perfectly. This rain jacket is it! It hits all my requirements! I use it while working on the farm, I wear it on hikes, I wear it on my way to work, and I wear it as a casual hang out jacket even when it isn't raining out. I love that its not bulky and can easily fit into my day to day bags and have ready in case the weather makes a sudden turn. I love it so much that I bought my mother one as well. My mother is very fussy about her clothing and she has had nothing but wonderful things to say about the fit and the functionality of this jacket.

i got this jacket for a girls college reunion weekend- there were 14 of us. The forecast was rain, and it did rain, a lot. We still toured, hiked, walked and did it all... I was definitely the cutest and the most comfortable. Perfect with a midlayer on underneath. Several of my friends- in their various rain gear- from golf bags etc or 10 years ago, wanted to steal it. I happily told them where they could get their own!
