Great shirt, keeps you warm early morning and cool later. I like the combination of fabrics. It also keeps you much more dry than other running shirts. Feels great during running and after (Posted on 7/18/2015)

QOR Baselayer Crew SS

Style # 11311
$74
Last Fall, we developed a LS version of this shirt and fell in love with it. Couldn’t wait to make it with shorter sleeves. What makes it special is the Polartec® Power Wool™ fabric. It’s a plaited fabric that puts Power Dry® HE on the outside and an amazing 16.5 micron Merino wool next to your skin. You end up with a great wicking, highly breathable, quick drying, odor resistant baselayer that feels awesome. Looks good, too. And just so you know, we eliminated the seams on the sides and under the raglan sleeves - used flatlock stitching everywhere else. Imported. 132GM polyester/Merino wool fabric. S to XXL. Regular fit.

Features
  • The plaited nature of Polartec® Power Wool™ - where the synthetic polyester is isolated from the Merino - actually optimizes the inherent properties of each fiber.
  • Smooth, 69% polyester, heathered face with a 16.5 micron, 31% Merino wool, subtly-textured grid interior.
  • 16.5 micron Merino, in particular, is superior stuff. Micron (micrometer) refers to the diameter of the Merino fiber. The lower the number, the finer the fiber. Having such a superior grade Merino next to your skin not only feels amazing, but it also does an amazing job of thermo-regulation - keeping you comfortable across different combinations of outside temperature and physical activity.
  • The Merino absorbs your body's moisture, then transfers it outward to the poly face, where it is released. In the summer, this has a cooling effect. When it's cold, Merino's inherent insulating qualities and its ability to move moisture away from your skin combine to make you feel warmer.
  • Simply put, Merino's seemingly magical properties allow you to enjoy more of your outdoor activity (if you are into that) without thinking too much about what you are wearing.
  • Did we mention that it's also UV-absorbing and stain resistant? And that Merino helps reduce odor? Oh, and it doesn't wrinkle, either.
  • Oh... and we found out it’s warmer than the 132GM fabric would suggest.
